One of Sydney's distinctive Elizabeth Bay Road buildings, and listed by the Australian Institute of Architects register, was designed in the early 1970s and was inspired by the Einstein Tower in Potsdam, Germany. The new owners of two of the four apartments wanted to undertake major renovations but the original architectural drawings were unable to be located. Rather than using the tedious and laborious method of manual measurement and then digitising the measured data, Flexijet 3D was used to do the job.
Using manual methods, it is estimated that a measuring job like this would take 2 people 5 days. Using Flexijet 3D, this job was completed in 2 days by one person, providing a 3D wire-frame model that could be then imported into architectural software where the re-designing would take place. A huge saving in time and effort.
